Conference Call: The New Israeli Government - Can it Last?

Join the JCRC of Greater Washington and the JCPA as we re-connect with leading Israeli Journalist, Tal Schnieder, to discuss the results of the 2015 Israeli election. She will offer analysis on the razor thin 61 seat governing coalition PM Netanyahu formed, the process of building the coalition including the promises made to each party, and the discourse of centrist and left leaning Israelis in the wake of the 20th Knesset being formed.

About the Speaker
Tal Scneider is an Israeli Political Blogger and reporter, owner of the Political Blog, “The Plog”. Stories from The Plog and other political features stories have appeared in Haaretz, Saloona (Feminist web-site), Al-Masdar (arabic), Globes Business-paper, Maariv, Israel's Forbes, Mako (channel 2's website) and more. She is a frequent commentator on Israel's leading channels: Channel 1, 10 & the Knesset Channel, i24News (English), Channel 9 (Russian), Galey Tzahal, Radio, A-Shams (arabic) & more.

From 2010 – 2011, she was the feature writer and night desk copy-editor for the Globes Business Newspaper & Maariv Daily Newspaper. Between 2004 and 2009, Ms Schneider served as the Washington, DC Correspondent for Maariv Daily Newspaper including coverage of U.S. politics, campaigns, and U.S. policy in the Middle East.

Ms, Schneider graduated with a law degree from The College of Management Academic Studies, Israel in 1998 and a Graduate Degree in Law & Political Science from Tel-Aviv University in 2002. She has also received certfications in photojournalism and journalism from the Corcoran College of Art + Design, Washington DC and Georgetown University reapectively.
