Jewish and Advocacy Organizations

Abraham Fund: The Abraham Fund promotes coexistence and equality among Israel’s Jewish and Arab citizens. It advances a cohesive, secure and just Israeli society by promoting policies based on innovative social models, and by conducting large-scale social change initiatives, advocacy and public education.

The Anti-Defamation League :The ADL is an international non-governmental advocacy organization. In addition to serving as the nation's premier civil rights/human relations agency and fighting anti-Semitism, the ADL advocates for Israel by explaining political and security issues and the complexities of the Israeli-Palestinian/Israel-Arab conflict to U.S. policymakers, the media and the public.

AIPAC: As America's leading pro-Israel lobby, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee works with both Democratic and Republican political leaders to enact public policy that strengthens the vital U.S.-Israel relationship. 


The American Jewish CommitteeAJC is an international think tank and advocacy organization that attempts to identify trends and problems early - and take action. One of five key areas of focus is supporting Israel's quest for peace and security.  AJC’s mission is to enhance the well being of Israel and the Jewish people worldwide, and to advance human rights and democratic values in the United States and around the world.

Americans for Peace Now APN was established to mobilize support for the Israeli Peace movement. Today APN is a non-partisan organization which supplies timely information and education, providing a pro-Israel, pro-peace, American Jewish perspective on issues and legislation. APN also engages in grassroots political activism.

The Association of Reform Zionists of America ARZA develops support for and strengthens the Reform movement in Israel and promotes advocacy for a Jewish, pluralistic, just and democratic society in the State of Israel.

CAMERA The Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America is a media-monitoring, research organization. CAMERA fosters accurate and balanced coverage of Israel and rigorous reporting while educating news consumers about Middle East issues and the role of the media. 


Christians United for Israel CUFI provides a national association through which every pro-Israel church, parachurch organization, ministry or individual in America can speak and act with one voice in support of Israel.


The Dorot Foundation Dorot's goal is the transmission of Jewish heritage through the generations. The Foundation's grantmaking demonstrates a commitment to the Jewish past, present and future by supporting activities in the areas of education, cultural institutions and social change in Israel.


Endowment for Middle East Truth EMET is a pro-Israel and pro-American think tank and policy shop on Capitol Hill. EMET emphasizes Israel’s unique role as the eastern outpost of Western democratic values holding down the fort against a rising tide of radical Islam, and the enormous strategic benefit it brings to the United States.


Hadassah The Women's Zionist Organization of America is a volunteer women's organization whose members strengthen their partnership with Israel, ensure Jewish continuity, and realize their potential as a dynamic force in American society. In Israel, Hadassah initiates and supports pace-setting health care, education and youth institutions, and land development to meet the country's changing needs.


Hillel As the largest Jewish campus organization in the world, Hillel provides opportunities for Jewish students at more than 500 colleges and universities to explore and celebrate their Jewish identity. Hillel's primary Israel advocacy partner is the Israel on Campus Coalition (ICC).


Honest Reporting Honest Reporting monitors the media, exposes cases of bias, promotes balance, and effects change to ensure Israel is represented fairly and accurately. Honest Reporting also provides educational tools and resources to anyone wishing to advocate for Israel.


Israel Religious Action Center IRAC is the public and legal advocacy arm of the Reform Movement in Israel with the goal of advancing pluralism in Israeli society and defending the freedoms of conscience, faith, and religion. IRAC uses litigation, legislation, public policy and advocacy to advance civic equality. 


The Israel on Campus Coalition The ICC is a pro-Israel umbrella organization founded by Hillel which was created in order to evaluate the worrisome rise in anti-Israel activities on college campuses across North America. Today, the ICC serves as the central coordinating and strategic body to address campus issues and intelligently impact a pro-active, pro-Israel agenda on campus.

The Israel Forever Foundation is an engagement organization that develops and promotes experiential learning opportunities to celebrate and strengthen the personal connection to Israel as an integral part of Jewish life and identity. Israel forever foundations

JAFI, The Jewish AgencyJAFI was instrumental in establishing the State of Israel. JAFI’s mission is to inspire Jews throughout the world to forge strong connections to Israel through travel, live and learn programs and engage young Jews in social activism. JAFI facilitates aliyah and is involved in rescuing Jews from countries of distress and resettling them in Israel.


JCPA, The Jewish Council for Public Affairs The JCPA serves as the representative voice of the organized American Jewish community in addressing the principal mandate of the Jewish community relations field: To safeguard the rights of Jews here and around the world; To dedicate ourselves to the safety and security of the state of Israel; To promote a just American society, that is democratic and pluralistic, and furthers harmonious interreligious, inter ethnic interracial and other intergroup relations.


The Joint Distribution Committee Active in more than 70 countries, the JDC rescues Jewish lives at risk, brings relief to Jews in need, renews lost bonds to Jewish identity and Jewish culture, and helps Israel overcome the social challenges of its most vulnerable citizens, both Jewish and non-Jewish. "The Joint" provides non-sectarian disaster relief and long-term development assistance worldwide. 


Jewish Federation of Greater Washington. The Federation's mission is to care for those in need, deepen engagement in Jewish life and strengthen Jewish identity and to create connections among Jews locally, in Israel and around the world. With partners in Israel, the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington is working to strengthen Israel by helping Israel’s neediest citizens, providing support for new immigrants, securing economic development, organizing Israel travel and coordinating emergency response.

The Jewish National FundJNF has evolved into a global environmental leader by planting 250 million trees, building reservoirs and dams, developing over 250,000 acres of land, creating parks, bringing life to the Negev Desert and educating students around the world about Israel and the environment.

ISRAEL 21c Israel 21C focuses public attention on Israel beyond the political conflict.  It presents how Israel and Israelis are having an impact on individual lives through their efforts in health, technology, culture, democracy and clean tech.

The Maryland/Israel Development Center MIDC promotes trade and investment between Maryland and Israeli businesses and research institutions.


Myths and Facts The objective of Myths and Facts is to provide policymakers, the media and the public with information about Israel and the Middle East that is founded on factual and reliable content. Myths & Facts Online, A Guide to the Arab-Israeli Conflict, is a book by Mitchell Bard that is available online as a part of the Jewish Virtual Library and offers concise information about the roots, parties, policies, maps etc on the Middle East Conflict.


National Council of Jewish Women The NCJW’s work in Israel directly mirrors the organization’s efforts to create progressive social change in the US. NCJW’s pioneering Israel programs foster and support education, promote the empowerment of women, and bridge the gaps in society for Israel’s vulnerable women, children, and families.

New Israel Fund NIF’s vision of Israel is both the Jewish homeland and a shared society at peace with itself and its neighbors. NIF strengthens organizations and leaders that work to achieve equality for all the citizens of the state, including Palestinian citizens of Israel; recognize and reinforce the essential pluralism of Israeli society; and empower groups on the economic margins of Israeli society.

ORT ORT is one of the largest non-governmental education and training organizations in the world with activities in more than 100 countries. ORT’s mission is to work for the advancement of Jewish and other people provides communities with the skills and knowledge necessary to cope with the complexities of their environment; to foster economic self-sufficiency, mobility and a sense of identity through use of state-of-the-art technology.


The Israel Project TIP’s team of multi-lingual Middle East experts provides journalists and the public with the facts, backgrounders, context and visuals they need. TIP offers hundreds of millions of people around the world a more positive public face of Israel. This helps protect Israel, reduce anti-Semitism and increase pride in Israel.

USCJThe United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism is the association of Conservative congregations in North America. USCJ supports Masorti programs in Israel; furthers interest in aliyah to Israel; and assists congregations and regions in developing Israel programs.


VIAB The Virginia Israel Advisory Board serves as the bridge and facilitator between Israeli companies and the State of Virginia.


ZOA The Zionist Organization of America is the oldest, and one of the largest, pro-Israel/Zionist organizations in the United States. The ZOA plays a key role in Congressional advocacy and the ZOA's growing Campus Activism Network organizes college students to combat Anti- Israel propaganda on campuses as well as organizing leadership training programs in Israel.

The Jerusalem Post The Jerusalem Post is an English-language Israeli daily newspaper.  It is politically centrist and has a broad readership amongst Israeli politicians, foreign journalists, tourists, and readers worldwide


The Jewish Virtual Library The Jewish Virtual Library is the most comprehensive online Jewish encyclopedia in the world, covering everything from anti-Semitism to Zionism. So far, more than 13,000 articles and 6,000 photographs and maps have been integrated into the site.

JTA The Jewish Telegraphic Agency is an independent source for breaking news, investigative reporting, in-depth analysis, opinion and features on current events and issues of interest to the Jewish people. 


The Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs: The MFA website represents one of the most important ministries in the Israeli government, whose role is to implement Israel's foreign policy, and promote economic, cultural, and scientific relations with other countries. The Times of Israel The Times of Israel, established in February 2012 by a former editor at The Jerusalem Post, has quickly become one of Israel's most popular English-language news websites. It is politically nonpartisan, and its editorials reflect a wide range of viewpoints.



Ynet Ynet is Israel's most popular news website, and it is the online outlet for Israeli daily newspaper Yediot Ahronot. Unlike many of its competitors, all of Ynet's content is original work, published exclusively on its website and written by an indepedent staff.

Foreign Policy Think Tanks

American Enterprise Institute AEI is a conservative, non-partisan think tank. Its mission is to defend the principles and improve the institutions of American freedom and democratic capitalism—limited government, private enterprise, individual liberty and responsibility, vigilant and effective defense and foreign policies, political accountability, and open debate.

American Foreign Policy Council. AFPC's foreign and defense policy specialists provide information to members of the US Congress, the Executive Branch, and the US policymaking community, as well as world leaders outside the US. AFPC publishes strategic reports about policy progress of Middle Eastern and other countries from a conservative standpoint.


The Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies BESA advances a realist, conservative and Zionist agenda. The center conducts research on strategic subjects relating to the national security and foreign policy of Israel and Middle East regional affairs. BESA is staffed with academic experts, strategic thinkers, and former and current military officers.


The Brookings Institution Brookings is a nonprofit public policy organization whose mission is to conduct high-quality, independent research and, based on that research, to provide innovative, practical recommendations that advance three broad goals: Strengthen American democracy; Foster the economic and social welfare, security and opportunity of all Americans; and Secure a more open, safe, prosperous and cooperative international system
