2011 Yom HaShoah MD
The 2011 Yom Ha'Shoah commemoration was a community-wide observance in memory of the six mission Jews who perished during the Holocaust. Over 600 members of the Maryland community gathered at Congregation B'nai Tzedek to remember those who were killed and honor the survivors and the righteous gentiles.
The Dor L'Dor youth program provided an opportunity for young people to meet Holocaust survivors and hear about their experiences in small group discussions.
Unto Every Person There is a Name, sponsored by B'nai B'rith International, is a public name-reading that commemorates the children and adults who perished during the Holocaust, restoring some dignity to those who were stripped of their identities and robbed of their lives.
