NoVA School Board Voter's Guide
The JCRC of Greater Washington and Washington Jewish Week have for the first time produced the Northern Virginia School Board Voter’s Guide for this year’s general election contests in Fairfax, Loudoun and Prince William’s counties.

School Resources for Jewish Families
The JCRC leads the fight to address school-based antisemitism with numerous programs and resources.

Dozens of Md. pols decry anti-Semitism, embrace Jewish group’s policy agenda
“The JCRC is a potent political force in the State House and the Washington, D.C., region, and Friday’s breakfast was a reminder of both the group’s political influence and its lengthy and substantive policy agenda. The JCRC doesn’t just advocate for Jewish interests, but also for an array of social service programs, criminal justice reforms and other good works.”

Children of Holocaust survivors recount parents’ experiences to MCPS students
JCRC associate director Guila Siegel said the need for students to hear these survivor narratives has never been greater.
“As the number of living Holocaust survivors dwindles, the need to re-envision Holocaust education grows more acute,” she said. “The 2G generation feels a tremendous obligation to carry on their parents’ legacy, but it’s not innate in them to know how to distill their parents’ narratives in a way that can be presented to students.”
As antisemitic incidents double in Md., state lawmakers pitch solutions
Ron Halber, executive director of the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Washington, said the significant rise in antisemitic incidents last year did not surprise him.
“Hardly a weekend that goes by where I don’t get a call that something has happened,” he said.
