Thank Arlington School Board Members for 2022 Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur Closures

We only encourage Arlington family and Arlington teachers to fill out this action alert.

Thank the Arlington School Board:

We are deeply gratified that for the past two years the Arlington School Board has adopted academic calendars that include school closures on days coinciding with the first day of Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur as well as Eid-al-Fitr and Diwali.

Thanks to this decision, APS’ Jewish students and employees, as well as those of other minority faiths, for the first time feel that they have been truly seen and heard.

Please share with the board the positive impact this calendar has had on you and your family. It is critical that we express gratitude to the Board members as they prepare to vote on the 2023-2024 calendar on Thursday evening, December 15.

Take action now to thank APS School Board for a 2023-2024 school calendar and encourage them to permanently adopt this change.
