Unto Every Person There Is A Name

It is perhaps the JCRC of Greater Washington's most sacred obligation to host our local community's annual Yom Ha'Shoah remembrances in honor of the six million Jews killed during the Holocaust and of the survivors and liberators among us.

We are proud to partner with B'nai B'rith International to participate in Unto Every Person There Is A Name. This program, done in conjunction with Yad Vashem, provides the opportunity to remember the victims of the Holocaust: six million Jews, including one and a half million children. As the names of victims are read aloud, they are remembered. For many on these lists, it is the only time their name will be said aloud as their entire family was murdered or there is no one left to remember them.

We welcome our community members to submit a name below to be remembered at this year's online Community-Wide Yom Ha'Shoah Commemoration happening on Sunday, April 11th at 1:00 PM.
